Hello, and Welcome!

My name is Karene, and I am passionate about providing counselling services through easily accessible, online ​platforms. I am based in Townsville. Over my more than 19 years of experience, I have had the privilege of ​working with many people groups.

In my first professional role, I worked with spinal Life Australia in the role of a Member Network Coordinator. I ​then moved on to work at James Cook University as a Regional Disability Liaison Officer. This role brought me ​immense satisfaction, as I was able to partner with other people with disabilities and help them navigate the ​path of secondary education.

I then worked with women in a counselling role. This opportunity gave me a taste of what it's like to hear ​people's stories, and watch lives transform as women were helped to find their own wisdom, capacity and ​strength. After a long break, and two beautiful children later, I worked with Queenslanders with Disability ​Network as a Local Champion. This role was incredibly important to me, as I assisted many women and men to ​access the National Disability Insurance Scheme- being a voice for those who often felt voiceless was so ​rewarding.

Today, along with running this business, I regularly participate in Online projects that focus on advocating for ​people with disabilities and working towards equality and access for all.​

I believe that all people have potential, and sometimes, all it takes is for someone with professional experience​ to walk alongside them and help them discover that potential.​

Fees

I offer an introductory session, charged at a rate of $50 per session.

This initial session (ONCE OFF) will give people an opportunity to get to know me a little, understand how my ​counseling service works and if it is the right “fit” for them. If people decide to continue, the rate will be $100 per ​session.

This fee is set at a discounted rate to provide opportunity for people of all different ages and income levels to have ​access to therapy.

Fees must be paid prior to the session.

Fees can be paid via bank transfer.

Cash will not be accepted.

Cancellation Policy

24 hours' notice must be given to cancel a session, otherwise full fee is due.

Further sessions will not be offered until fees are paid in full.
